Workshop on the Marine and Coastal Areas of the Canary Islands: planning and governance
The Government of the Canary Islands, through the Climate Change and Territorial Planning Advice, the Ministry of Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) and the Biodiversity Foundation organised a workshop in Lanzarote on November 25th, 2022.
The main objective of the workshop was to play the roll of a meeting point for all managers and planners of the coastal and marine area in the Canary Islands, to present the latest planning instruments and to promote technology transfer and capacity development of the partners and agents involved in the Canary Islands Marine Demarcation about their planning and governance.
All these objectives are under the frame of the MSP-OR project, which was presented and promoted and also emphasizing the Ocean Governance Platform.
